Job Description

Job Summary:

The Petrol Pump Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the petrol pump, ensuring smooth fuel sales, managing staff, maintaining safety and compliance standards, handling cash and inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:1. Operations Management

Supervise all daily activities of the petrol pump, including fuel dispensing and vehicle servicing. Ensure availability of fuel, lubricants, and other products at all times. Monitor fuel stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely refilling. Maintain records of meter readings, fuel deliveries, and stock registers. Check and calibrate fuel dispensing machines regularly.
2. Staff Supervision

Recruit, train, and supervise pump attendants, cashiers, and other staff. Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing during all shifts. Maintain discipline, punctuality, and performance standards among staff.
3. Cash and Accounts Management

Handle daily cash collection, deposit, and reconciliation. Maintain proper accounts of sales, credits, and expenses. Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports. Prevent pilferage, short delivery, or fraud in fuel dispensing.
4. Customer Service

Ensure quick, courteous, and professional service to all customers. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the premises.
5. Safety and Compliance

Ensure all safety protocols and fire prevention measures are followed. Maintain proper functioning of fire extinguishers and safety equipment. Comply with legal and company regulations (weights & measures, pollution, etc.).
6. Maintenance

Oversee maintenance of fuel dispensers, air machines, and generators. Ensure proper lighting, signage, and infrastructure upkeep.
