We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher Head of Department (HOD) to join our growing team in the education sector.

The ideal candidate will have excellent teaching and leadership skills and a passion for promoting physical activity and healthy habits in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that aligns with national standards and school goals.

-Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into other subject areas and school-wide programs.

-Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.

-Monitor and assess students' progress and provide individualized support where necessary.

-Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.

-Coordinate and oversee sports teams, intramural activities, and other physical education-related extracurricular programs.

-Lead professional development sessions for teachers to enhance their understanding and teaching of physical education.

-Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and encourage their involvement in promoting a physically active lifestyle.

-Manage the physical education department budget and resources effectively.

-Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and best practices in physical education to continually evolve and improve the curriculum.

-Manage a team of physical education teachers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education or a related field.

-Certified Physical Education Teacher with a valid teaching license.

-Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching physical education in a school setting.

-Proven leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage a team.

-Knowledge of current physical education trends, research, and best practices.

-Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.

-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.

-Commitment to promoting physical activity and educating students on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

-Willingness to work unconventional hours, participate in school events, and attend professional development sessions.
