Key Responsibilities
Grooming Services:
Perform full-service grooming including bathing, brushing, blow-drying, breed-specific haircuts, and creative styling.
Hygiene Care:
Execute essential care tasks such as nail trimming/filing, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression.
Health Assessments:
Inspect pets for skin conditions, parasites (fleas/ticks), or unusual lumps, and communicate findings clearly to owners.
Animal Handling:
Safely handle and restrain pets of all sizes and temperaments, using patience and positive reinforcement to minimize stress.
Client Communication:
Consult with pet owners to understand their styling preferences, provide care advice, and manage expectations for matted or difficult coats.
Sanitation:
Maintain a sterilized workspace and clean grooming tools (clippers, shears, tubs) between appointments to ensure a hygienic environment.
Experience:
1-3+ years of professional grooming experience (portfolio of work preferred).
Soft Skills
Patience:
The ability to remain calm with anxious or uncooperative animals.
Customer Service:
A friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with pet parents.
