About the Role

A premium family in Hyderabad is seeking a skilled Personal or In-House Cook to manage daily meal preparation and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate (or couple) will specialize in traditional South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine, ensuring authentic taste, quality, and hygiene at all times. Accommodation can be provided for live-in candidates.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Cuisine and Menu Planning: Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional South Indian dishes such as dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, varieties of curries, and chutneys. Quality and Consistency: Maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control using quality ingredients. Timely Preparation: Plan and organize daily cooking and meal service according to the household schedule. Menu Development: Design menus that balance authenticity with family preferences, including dietary restrictions or nutritional needs. Hygiene and Safety: Maintain an exceptionally clean and safe kitchen while adhering to food safety standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

Event & Guest Catering - Prepare food for family gatherings, functions, and special occasions. Food Storage - Ensure proper storage, handling, and freshness of all ingredients and cooked food.

Skill Enhancement:

Stay updated with new recipes, flavors, and modern cooking techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Expertise in traditional South Indian cooking (Veg & Non-Veg), with versatility across regional styles. Strong attention to detail in food preparation and plating. Ability to plan and manage kitchen operations efficiently for daily meals and events. Basic understanding of nutrition, food allergies, and customized diets. Professional attitude, punctuality, and discretion when working with a private household.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experienced personal or family cook, preferably having served in high-end or private homes. Can communicate clearly and follow household preferences with flexibility. Open to staying on-site (single or couple), ensuring availability and continuity.
