Role Summary:
This role owns the Director's personal brand across LinkedIn, Instagram, and PR, and supports podcast research and scripting for the BreakITdown?style content. The person will plan, research, and execute thought?leadership content, grow the Director's online presence, and coordinate with the internal creative team to turn ideas into high?quality posts, articles, and podcast episodes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Branding - Strategy & Positioning
Define and continuously refine the Director's positioning, narrative, and key themes (entrepreneurship, tech, AI, B2B, D2C, etc.).
Build a monthly content calendar for the Director across LinkedIn and Instagram aligned with company and founder goals.
Identify signature content pillars: founder story, point?of?view posts, case studies, behind?the?scenes, hiring, culture, and industry commentary.
2. LinkedIn (Primary Channel)
Write and publish Founders posts: thought leadership, threads, carousels, and value posts under the Director's profile.
Turn internal knowledge (calls, meetings, voice notes, Looms) into structured posts, hooks, and carousels.
Engage daily: reply to comments, DM interesting leads, and build targeted relationships with founders, CMOs, investors, and partners.
Track what works (hooks, topics, formats) and optimize based on performance.
3. Instagram (Personal Brand Account)
Plan and brief short?form content: reels, carousels, and stories that show the Director's day, opinions, and behind?the?scenes.
Collaborate with the internal editor, designer, and cinematographer to execute reels and visual assets.
Maintain a consistent visual and tone-of-voice style across posts and stories.
4. PR & Thought Leadership
Identify PR opportunities: podcasts, panels, guest articles, interviews, and founder features.
Draft PR pitches, bios, and media kits for the Director.
Coordinate with agencies, event organizers, and journalists; follow up and maintain a PR pipeline tracker.
Help convert major company milestones into press?ready story angles.
5. Podcast Research & Scripting (BreakITdown / other shows)
Work closely with the Director to research episode topics, guests, and key questions.
Prepare episode outlines, structures, and question flows for each podcast recording.
Create pre?read documents for the Director (guest background, previous interviews, social presence, strong opinions).
After recordings, help identify clip angles and title ideas for the editing team.
6. Coordination & Execution
Work with internal Content Strategist, SMM, Editor, Designer, Podcast Intern to turn ideas into final content.
Maintain Notion/Sheets trackers for: ideas, approved topics, drafts, scheduled posts, and live links.
Join key meetings, make notes, and convert them into content concepts and scripts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a PR agency or in-house communications role, internships included.
Strong writing and storytelling skills (hooks, threads, scripts, and carousels).
Solid understanding of LinkedIn and Instagram algorithms, formats, and best practices.
Comfortable doing deep research on people, companies, and topics and turning it into sharp, founder?level insights.
Experience with podcasts, interviews, or long?form content is a strong plus.
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working directly with a founder/Director on a fast?moving schedule.
Nice-to-Haves
Prior experience growing a founder/creator account on LinkedIn or Instagram.
Familiarity with AI tools for research, summarization, and content drafting.
Basic understanding of PR workflows (media lists, outreach, follow?ups).
