Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Perl Developer

with over 5 years of professional experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

Perl scripting, system integration, and application development

, along with proficiency in databases and exposure to modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain

Perl-based applications, scripts, and automation tools

. Enhance and optimize existing

Perl codebases

for performance, scalability, and reliability. Work on

data parsing, text processing, and system integration

projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including

QA, DevOps, and Business Analysts

to deliver high-quality software. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues. Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code. Integrate Perl applications with

databases (SQL/NoSQL)

and external APIs. Participate in

code reviews, testing, and deployment

processes. Support

migration projects

(from legacy systems to modern platforms). Stay updated with latest technologies and propose improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience in Perl programming

. Strong expertise in

Perl modules, CPAN libraries, and object-oriented Perl

. Experience in

data parsing, regular expressions, and text/file manipulation

. Proficiency in

database development

(MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar). Good understanding of

UNIX/Linux environments

and shell scripting. Familiarity with

web technologies

(CGI, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON, REST APIs). Experience with

version control systems

(Git, SVN). Knowledge of

Agile/Scrum methodologies

. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Good to Have (Optional):

Exposure to

Python, Java, or other scripting/programming languages

. Experience with

cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

. Knowledge of

CI/CD pipelines

and automation frameworks. Familiarity with

containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

. Background in

finance, telecom, or healthcare domains

(depending on project needs).

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹170,000.00 per month
