Job Title: Perfumer - Agarbatti & Fragrance Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Perfumer who specializes in the formulation and application of fragrances for agarbatti (incense sticks). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of aromatic compounds, essential oils, and fragrance blending techniques, with hands-on experience in incorporating these into agarbatti manufacturing processes

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and formulate unique, long-lasting fragrances suitable for agarbatti. Select and blend aroma chemicals, essential oils, and natural extracts tailored for incense products. Work closely with R&D and production teams to test and evaluate fragrance performance on agarbatti. Optimize fragrance formulations for burn quality, diffusion, and stability. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory guidelines (e.g. IFRA), and customer requirements. Conduct market research and benchmarking to innovate and improve scent profiles. Maintain detailed documentation of fragrance formulas, test results, and modifications. Troubleshoot formulation or production issues related to scent quality or performance
Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Chemistry, Perfumery, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience as a perfumer, with specific experience in agarbatti or related home fragrance products. Strong understanding of fragrance ingredients, fixatives, and carriers suitable for combustion. Experience with stability testing, olfactive evaluation, and scent development cycles. Familiarity with traditional and contemporary incense fragrance profiles (e.g. sandalwood, rose, oud)
Preferred Skills:

Creative mindset with a passion for aroma design. Sensory evaluation and fragrance creation skills. Knowledge of agarbatti production processes and base materials (e.g. charcoal, wood powder, jigat). Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, production, and quality control teams.
