Must have proficiency in the Performance Engineering discipline and have a good understanding of testing methodologies such as soak, spike, load, etc.
Understand front-end web performance best practices and be able to perform analysis and make recommendations for optimization.
Understand heap dumps, thread/stack dumps, JVM profiling techniques
Proficiency in Java programming (very important).
Experience with load testing tools and advanced knowledge of JMeter
Experience with standard observation tools - Application Dynamics, Splunk, StackDriver, etc.
Experience working with Cloud technologies and have a basic understanding of cloud architectures.
Experience working with Jira or similar ticketing systems used in Agile development
Must know SQL and be familiar with RDBMS and NoSQL Database technologies
Strong problem solver who should be able to analyze the performance issues and provide solutions to solve them both in software and hardware.
