Job Description

We are seeking a talented Lead Performance QA Engineer to help build next generation threat research product. Working with a team of engineers and architects, you will be responsible for testing performance, stress, scalability and supporting a highly scalable SaaS based product. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a team building Qualys’ next generation Micro-Services based technology platform processing over a 100 million transactions and terabytes of data per day, leverage open-source technologies, and work on challenging and business-impacting projects. We are looking for a talented, self-motivated and passionate engineer who can work and support by working with other team to excellence and achieve business objectives. Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of experience with performance testing and benchmarking in a QA and/or application development environment.
• Experience in doing performance benchmark testing on Big-Data components like Kafka, microservices, caching services, databases, NoSQL, Elastic search and etc.
• Experience with developing performance frameworks for web-based applications (SaaS experience preferred).
• Strong experience with performance test tools (JMeter experience desired)
• Strong experience with performance monitoring tools (like Grafana, Prometheus etc.)
• Strong experience with performance and stress testing in a Linux environment.
• Java Performance profiling experience
• Experience with developing performance frameworks for web-based, backend web-service-based applications (SaaS experience preferred).
• Lead and coordinate with other QA/Performance personnel to develop cost and time-effective performance test plans and should get them executed in time.
• Architect and guide cross-team efforts for manual/automated efforts
• Develop tools/utilities to speeding up the performance test process
• Strong Application and Database debugging experience
• Strong experience with performance and stress testing in a Linux environment.
• Practical programming experience in Java/Python.

• Java/Python programming a huge plus
• Performance testing in microservices distributed environment.
• Performance sizing and optimization technics.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux internals
• TCP/IP and network knowledge and troubleshooting
