Key Responsibilities:
1. Growth Strategy & Performance Planning
Build end-to-end performance marketing strategies for D2C brands
Decide
what to scale, what to pause, and why
Align ad strategy with business goals (revenue, profitability, AOV, LTV)
2. Website, Funnel & CRO Understanding
Audit websites before launching campaigns
Identify CRO gaps across:
Home page
Product pages (PDP)
Cart & checkout
Recommend improvements related to UX, trust, pricing, and flow
3. Offer & Discount Strategy
Design discount and offer structures that increase revenue without harming brand value
Decide between:
Flat discounts
Bundles
Free gifts
AOV-based offers
Create urgency
with or without discounts
, especially for premium brands
4. Ad Angles, Personas & Messaging
Build customer personas and map pain points, desires, and objections
Translate insights into:
Ad angles
Hooks
Messaging frameworks
Ensure messaging matches brand positioning (premium vs mass)
5. Creative Direction & Script Writing
Guide designers on:
Visual hierarchy
White space
Font proportions
Text emphasis
Write and review scripts for:
Video ads
Reels
UGC-style content
Ensure creatives are
performance-led
, not just visually appealing
6. Data, Metrics & Decision Making
Analyze performance using metrics such as:
ROAS
CPA
AOV
LTV
Conversion rates
Take data-backed decisions and explain performance clearly to stakeholders
Identify patterns and insights, not just report numbers
7. Premium vs Mass Brand Strategy
Understand the difference in:
Pricing psychology
Communication
Offer structures
Creative approach
Adapt strategies accordingly
8. Communication & Ownership
Communicate clearly with designers, ad executives, and clients
Take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
Push back on strategies that don't make sense, with logic and data
Required Skills & Experience
3-7 years (D2C / E-commerce preferred)
Strong understanding of:
E-commerce funnels
CRO principles
Consumer psychology
Experience working with D2C brands (preferred)
Ability to think strategically and execute practically
Comfortable working with numbers and performance data
Experience guiding creative teams (designers, video editors)
Nice to Have
Experience with premium or luxury brands
Knowledge of Shopify and e-commerce platforms
Understanding of tracking, attribution, and data discrepancies
Experience scaling brands, not just launching campaigns
