Job Description



Job Purpose Our People Systems team are looking for a Test Analyst to support us on testing and release of a number of key services and enhancements to existing capability.

You must have been working in as a Test Analyst role in your most recent roles with reasonable level of proficiency in the engineering aspects of software development and release lifecycle.

You will work as a core member of Technical Delivery team and focus on delivering appropriate manual and automated test suites to a wide range of solutions within People Systems.

You will collaborate with other team members to define, develop, and execute tests to ensure the software is ‘fit for purpose’. You will adopt to the methodical approach of documenting test outcomes and support the technical delivery team by following the change governance process Your key responsibilities will include

  • Working with product owners to prepare and maintain test relevant documentation including Use Cases, Scenarios and Test Cases for the purpose of testing various systems
  • To undertake all functional and non-functional test types i.e., System, Integration and User Acceptance Test related activities and ensure appropriate test coverage
  • To ensure that test scenarios and cases are prepared in a structured way, prioritised to reflect business or technical priorities, and are approved by appropriate stakeholders
  • To carry out test execution as part of the functional and non-functional test cycles
  • To report test progress and defects during the test design and test execution phase
  • Participate in triage call, support the development team with the resolution process
  • To develop test automation frameworks and automate of existing regression test suites where feasible.

Candidate Specification
Essential professional qualifications and experience:
  • Demonstrable experience of software testing and quality assurance, preferably with SAP SuccessFactors or other HCM systems
  • Ability to translate processes into use cases, scenarios, and test cases to ensure all key requirements/ Business processes are tested
  • Good writing skills for producing test cases
  • Strong communication skills to be able to report on testing progress and answer questions from vendor and business partners
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable experience of planning & implementing test automation, preferably across HCM Systems
Desired professional qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • ISEB Foundation in Software Testing or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience of all types of functional and non-functional testing
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end Testing Process / Methodologies
  • Previously worked in a structured environment such as ITIL, Agile, Waterfall
  • Previous experience of working with test and defect management tools like JIRA, TestRail etc
  • Previous experience in developing and maintaining automation testing frameworks and test suites
Essential competencies/skills:
  • Excellent grasp of testing methodologies and process to minimise risk and assure quality prior to the process and/or system implementations.
  • In-depth appreciation of testing standards and approaches, aligning with industry best practice.
  • Experience in both automated and manual testing techniques.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels with both internal and external parties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to question and examine; put forward new ideas and gain buy-in through key working relationships
