Alfa Laval is looking for a qualified Competence Development Manager for the cluster India, Middle East, and Africa to provide high quality support in people development. Considering the disruptions in the market because of VUCA, we need a qualified competence development manager who will work closely with the business managers and leaders to identify the future skills and competence gap, design the learning plans, and implement to make the workforce ready for the future. His/her role is to facilitate the learning culture in the organization.
Our ideal candidates should have solid experience in Learning & development, identifying training needs, designing the learning paths, and executing those with the support of HRBPs in respective business units.

Purpose:
Support and inspire management by proactively driving organizational, leadership and competence development to stay competitive/attractive on the people side to create better customer experience.
Competence Development Manager works closely with HRBPs, business leaders in the cluster to improve business outcomes through People Development activities and strategy in alignment with business needs.
The position / About the Job:
Strong understanding of people development, performance management and talent management practices. Should be able to work in complex and matrix organization.
In this job the People Development Manager would be responsible for:

  • Conceptualize, build, develop and manage the Alfa Laval IMEA university with different academies like competence development in leadership & behaviors, IPA academy, AL competence development, development of future skills, sales force competence development, Field Service Academy etc.
  • Identification of training needs through different tools and align with the business leaders.
  • Facilitate the designing and developing course curriculum for different technical courses.
  • Create the academy catalogue, yearly, quarterly, and monthly development plans and calendars and execute those plans as per the granular plans,
  • Set up a framework to assess the impact of training and development initiatives imparted.
  • Implement global people development initiatives in the cluster,
  • Contribute and create learning paths for different roles and build the competence directory for different job roles.
  • Integrated talent development manager for cross pollution of the talent in different countries, functions, and business areas.
  • Conduct assessment and development centers for leap and hi-potential employees.
  • Contribute to inclusion and diversity initiatives,
  • Support in organizational development initiatives,
  • Own an online learning portal and about me page for development, update the courses, registration of courses, registration of employees in the learning portal etc.
  • Facilitate sessions on talent management, IDPs, performance dialogue & internal training on time to time.
  • The incumbent will be the management team member of HR in the cluster.

Interactions level:
Internal:
Cluster president, Managing director, HRBPs, TA team, Business Managers, Unit Managers, peers, locally or globally, VP HR, & other peers, GSS VP-HR, Global People Development Manager etc.
External:
Training agencies, trainers, talent assessors, consultants, professional bodies, universities etc.

What you can be -
  • Graduate with master’s degree in Human Resource
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in People Development and talent management in large Indian and MNCs with high focus on technical trainings.
