Role Summary - Pedodontist:

The Pedodontist will be responsible for delivering specialized dental care to infants, children, and adolescents. The role includes preventive, restorative, and interceptive treatments, with an emphasis on behavior management, patient education, and creating a positive dental experience for young patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pediatric dental treatments including restorations, pulpectomies, extractions, space maintainers, and habit-breaking appliances. Provide preventive care such as fluoride application, sealants, and oral hygiene education for children and parents. Handle pediatric dental emergencies, trauma, and behavioral challenges with sensitivity. Monitor dental development and provide interceptive orthodontic guidance when needed. Create a child-friendly and anxiety-free clinical environment. Maintain clear treatment records and communicate treatment plans effectively to parents. Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists when needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

MDS in Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry from a recognized institution. Valid registration with the Dental Council. Strong knowledge of pediatric growth, development, and behavior management techniques. Compassionate, patient, and skilled in handling children, including those with special healthcare needs. Excellent communication and counseling skills for interacting with parents and guardians.
