Job Description

:

MD / DNB in Pediatrics (recognized by Medical Council / KMC).

License/Registration:

Valid registration with KMC

Experience:

0-3 years of post-qualification experience in pediatrics (hospital or clinic setting preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

Examine and evaluate the health and development of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Diagnose and treat illnesses, infections, injuries, and other medical conditions in children. Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments appropriate to pediatric patients. Provide preventive health services including immunizations, routine check-ups, and growth monitoring. Counsel parents and caregivers on nutrition, hygiene, safety, and disease prevention. Manage neonatal and pediatric emergencies effectively. Coordinate care with nurses, pediatric specialists, and allied health professionals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records. Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control, and ethical medical practices. Participate in health education programs, child wellness initiatives, and medical camps. Supervise junior doctors, interns, and nursing staff in pediatric care as needed. Stay updated with advancements in pediatric medicine, vaccines, and treatment guidelines.
