Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical evaluations for infants, children, and adolescents.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, developmental delays, and chronic illnesses.
Perform routine growth and developmental monitoring, including tracking height, weight, head circumference, and milestone progression.
Administer and manage pediatric vaccinations and immunization schedules in compliance with national and institutional guidelines.
Provide immediate and effective care during pediatric emergencies, including respiratory distress, seizures, trauma, and acute illness.
Collaborate with NICU and PICU teams to manage critically ill newborns and pediatric patients requiring intensive care.
Deliver evidence-based parent counseling on nutrition, behavioral development, safety, and preventive health practices.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with hospital documentation standards.
Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Stay current with pediatric medical advancements, clinical guidelines, and best practices through continuous professional development.
Requirements:
MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DM in Pediatrics or equivalent).
Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in pediatric care, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting.
Proven expertise in pediatric diagnosis, treatment protocols, and emergency management.
Hands-on experience in neonatal and pediatric intensive care (NICU/PICU) is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of national immunization programs and vaccination schedules.
Demonstrated ability to perform growth monitoring and developmental screening using standardized tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and parents.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and digital health documentation.
