Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pediatric clinical assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses for patients ranging from neonates to adolescents.

• Manage complex medical cases in IPD, PICU, NICU, and newborn care units with emphasis on rapid intervention and stabilization.

• Lead and participate in neonatal and pediatric emergency response protocols, including resuscitation, trauma management, and critical care.

• Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, adjusting interventions based on real-time patient response and clinical progress.

• Perform continuous patient monitoring using advanced clinical tools and vital sign tracking systems.

• Maintain precise and compliant medical documentation, including daily progress notes, treatment summaries, and discharge reports.

• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries with follow-up instructions, medication regimens, and referrals as needed.

• Stay current with national and international pediatric clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.

• Adhere strictly to infection control policies and hospital safety standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.

Requirements

• MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DM in Pediatrics or equivalent).

• Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on clinical experience in pediatric care, with demonstrated expertise in IPD, PICU, NICU, and newborn care.

• Proven experience in managing pediatric emergencies, including neonatal resuscitation, sepsis, respiratory distress, and critical illness.

• Strong proficiency in pediatric clinical assessment, differential diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning.

• Expertise in patient monitoring systems, ICU equipment, and electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.

• In-depth knowledge of pediatric infection control protocols, vaccination schedules, and preventive care guidelines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex medical information to parents and caregivers.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage high patient volumes, and maintain composure during emergencies.

• Valid medical license and registration with the State Medical Council and NMC (National Medical Commission).

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
