Job Description

Lead the entire design and detailing team involved in structural steel design for PEB projects.

Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, fabrication drawings, and connection details.

Ensure all designs are optimized for structural stability, material usage, cost efficiency, and fabrication feasibility.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including sales, project management, procurement, and execution to align design intent with project requirements.

Interact with clients, consultants, and contractors to understand technical needs and provide value-engineered solutions.

Oversee planning and allocation of design resources across multiple projects to ensure timely delivery.

Ensure adherence to design standards such as IS codes, AISC, MBMA, and other relevant industry practices.

Conduct technical audits, peer reviews, and quality checks of engineering output.

Mentor and develop the technical skills of junior engineers and draftsmen within the design department.

Implement design best practices, innovation in design methods, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering

Experience: Minimum 10+ years in PEB design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role

Software Proficiency: STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, MS Excel, etc.

Strong understanding of steel design principles and detailing standards

Proven leadership, team management, and project coordination skills

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Preferred Attributes:

Hands-on experience with complex PEB/steel building projects

Sound commercial awareness and the ability to align design with business goals

Ability to drive performance and maintain high-quality deliverables under pressure

Familiarity with lean engineering practices and design automation tools is a plus

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
