Software Tool Development Engineer
Location : Tech Center , Bangalore ( earlier Delphi Technologies)
B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science/ELectrical/Software Engineerin
Experience: 3-5 years
Primary functions
Ensures the development and integration of new software tools and the improvement or maintenance of existing tools. Uses demonstrated software tool experience and lessons learned to improve the team proficiency in applying the BorgWarner engineering development process (Electronics Development Framework - EDF) to projects.
SKILLS
Mandatory
- Experience with JAVA/PHP Web application development or with VC++ Windows application development
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating system environments
- Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
- Experience with Eclipse/Visual Studio
- Knowledge of Python and Perl scriptingExperience in using engineering V cycle development processes
- Working knowledge of ASPICE, ISO26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO21434 (Cybersecurity)
- Process area expertise, Tool Development process, Coding standard
- Experience with SCM tools such as Plastic SCM and Git, a plus
- Experience with JIRA or other agile planning tools a plus
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required
- The ability to prioritize and organize own workload
