ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis design work

Identify different stress packages through review of P&IDs / Line Designation tables.

Knowledge of stress analysis software\xe2\x80\x99s like Caesar 2, Autopipe, Rohr 2 etc.

Performs piping flexibility analysis piping systems during preliminary design and detailed design phase of Project

Perform pipe stress analysis for different equipment\xe2\x80\x99s.

Provide pipe loading information to Civil / Structure

Resolve high pipe loads on equipment nozzles and high secondary stresses in piping

Knowledge of spring hangers and pipe supports

Preparation and interpretation/review of stress calculations

Locate and identify pipe supports on isometrics along with type of supports

Prepare complete documentation of the stress analysis.

Participates in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data from suppliers

Perform work in different sectors like Energy, Power and or Water Projects.

Understands role played by other disciplines on the project.

Assists stress lead for technical activities as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A recognized degree in a job-related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a professional license from a recognized licensing board, or specialized courses in relevant general engineering, design or an appropriate engineering discipline. Relevant experience of 2 to 4 years.

Broad knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards and design criteria as pertinent.

Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, plant layout, materials, and computers for preparation of analyses and development of project deliverables within the discipline.

Knowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the discipline.

Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.

Knowledge of precedents in the discipline and of principles and practices of related disciplines.

Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
