Supervise the inspection team to ensure all vehicles undergo thorough functional and visual checks, including exterior and interior, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Ensure vehicles are free from transit damage, defects, or scratches.
Verify that all accessories are installed correctly and all features are working as intended.
Conduct final checks and ensure all required inspections and repairs are complete before delivery.
Team and process management:
Lead, manage, and train the PDI team, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
Develop and implement inspection checklists and procedures to ensure consistent quality.
Ensure compliance with company standards, safety guidelines, and relevant regulations.
Coordination and communication:
Coordinate with the sales, service, and delivery departments to ensure timely and smooth vehicle handovers.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to the PDI process.
Record-keeping and reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, issues found, and resolutions.
Report any major issues or deviations to management and coordinate their resolution.
Resource and inventory management:
Monitor and maintain the inventory of PDI-related tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Ensure vehicles are properly staged and stored according to their delivery date.
