Following schematics and assembly procedures, PCB technicians manually place and solder components onto PCBs, including both through-hole and surface mount (SMT) components.
Testing:
Utilizing various testing equipment (like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized PCB testing systems), technicians identify and diagnose issues with PCBs.
Troubleshooting:
Analyzing test results, identifying root causes of failures, and implementing corrective actions to resolve technical problems.
Inspection:
Conducting visual and functional inspections of assembled PCBs to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Repair:
Replacing faulty components, repairing damaged tracks, and restoring PCBs to working condition.
Equipment Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance on PCB assembly and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of test results, repairs, and equipment maintenance.
