Job Responsibilities Your attention to detail and high level of performance will be put to the test daily as you accurately and consistently develop and verify PWB CAD footprints and schematic symbols in accordance with company and industry standards including, but not limited to IPC-7351, IEEE, IPC-6012 and IPC-610. Your precise ability to read and interpret electrical and physical information from component datasheets will ensure your success in this role, and with Viasat. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience of PCB CAD Library Creation.
- Demonstrated work experience in the creation of CAD symbols and footprints.
- Ability to work in a volume production environment with regular direction.
- Thorough understanding of industry standards for PWA footprint creation (IPC-7351).
- Associate degree in an electronics technology field or equivalent experience.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to travel to US for training.
- Ability to participate in early morning or late evening sync up meetings a few times a week.
- Experience with Zuken Components Editor or Mentor Graphics Xpedition EDM Library.
- Experience using MS Excel and other MS tools.
- Some PCB layout experience utilizing Zuken, Mentor Graphics Expedition, or other CAD tool.
- Experience with a PLM environment like Agile.
