Job Description

We are hiring an experienced

PCB CAD Design Engineer (5-8 years)

to take ownership of schematic capture, PCB layout, HDI design, DFM/DFT optimisation, and manufacturing data pack generation.

You will work end-to-end across the full hardware development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Lead

circuit design

, requirements analysis & component selection Create & manage

schematics, PCB footprints, and part libraries

Generate & maintain

Bill of Materials (BOM)

with version control Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams for component lifecycle management Prepare

PCB manufacturing + assembly data packs

Manage

PCB suppliers

, fabrication queries, stackups & reviews Perform high-quality

PCB layout

, including HDI, controlled impedance & EMC-aware routing Create

design rules & constraints

aligned with assembly house requirements Support signal integrity, thermal & mechanical simulations through design data exports Work with PLM tools (Arena experience preferred) Support full lifecycle: concept ? design ? prototype ? manufacture ? customer

Required Skills & Experience

5-8 years

of PCB CAD design experience Strong skills in

Mentor Graphics or Cadence (Allegro/OrCAD)

Proven experience in

HDI PCB design & controlled impedance routing

Strong understanding of

EMC/EMI layout techniques & SI best practices

Experience in

DFM, DFA & DFT

for complex boards Ability to design multi-sourced footprints and follow strict constraints Experience preparing

manufacturing data packs

Strong communication, ownership mindset & team collaboration Must already hold a

valid UK work visa

Preferred

Experience with

Arena PLM

Background working in small teams or

startup environments

Experience supporting manufacturing and customer-facing engineering
