The Payroll Executive oversees and manages payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments, compliance with tax and labor laws, maintaining payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with HR and Finance, while addressing employee payroll queries and meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately calculate and process payroll for all employee on a timely basis.
Process monthly/bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees
Effective communication skills for interacting with employees and management.
Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements accurately
Maintain and update payroll records, employee data, and documentation
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll-related queries
Coordinate with HR for attendance, leave, and employee data updates
Collaborate with Finance for payroll accounting, reconciliation, and reporting
Prepare payroll reports for management, audits, and statutory filings
Manage payroll systems/software, including system updates and troubleshooting
Ensure accurate disbursement of salaries through bank transfers or cheques
Developing and implementing payroll policies and standard operating procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Proven experience as a Payroll Executive, Payroll In-charge, or similar role
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software
