Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll and Compliance Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processes and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Location: Prabhadevi, Mumbai

Payroll Management:

Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees on a monthly basis. Maintain payroll records, timesheets, leave balances, and employee information. Handle employee queries related to salaries, deductions, and payslips. Coordinate with Finance and HR teams for monthly payroll inputs (e.g., new hires, exits, bonuses, variable pay, etc.). Ensure correct deductions for taxes, insurance, retirement benefits, and other statutory obligations. Reconcile payroll data with accounting and financial systems.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS, minimum wages, etc. depending on country). Prepare and file necessary government reports (monthly/quarterly/annual) on time. Stay updated with regulatory changes affecting payroll and employment compliance. Coordinate internal and external audits related to payroll and statutory compliance. Support the implementation and maintenance of internal policies related to payroll and compliance. Process Improvement & Reporting: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and compliance processes. Generate and present payroll and compliance reports to management. Assist in implementing payroll systems or upgrades.

Requirements:

basic experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance. Strong understanding of relevant employment laws and tax regulations. Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, Zoho Payroll, etc.). Advanced MS Excel skills. High attention to detail and confidentiality. Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
