Purpose and Scope:



The

Payroll Advisor

role is to oversee and manage payroll processes, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and provide expert support to employees and management on all payroll-related matters where required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and employee compensation.





Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



Accountable for the auditing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls Accountable for monitoring and managing issues, escalating as necessary Accountable for reviewing and processing of annual tax Accountable for ensuring year end validation processes are completed in a timely manner Accountable for managing and working with third party providers to ensure timely and accurate payrolls and timely and accurate communications are being delivered to stakeholders Responsible for supporting the execution of Reward related administration and will work closely with the Reward Centre of Excellence on Reward management processes Accountable for ensuring that query resolution meets and exceeds agreed service level agreements and internal performance measures Accountable for the execution of Reward administrative processes across the scope of services provided by HR Operations Accountable for the coordination of JSOX audits and requests for payroll information with internal and external auditors Accountable for supporting the delivery of cyclical reward processes including year-end bonus and salary reviews and the execution of administration relating to these processes Gather data in line with customer queries and requests Support and coach customers in completing transactions on the HR portal and other relevant online tools, systems and applications Partner with key stakeholders to update knowledge materials to drive self service + Ensure that queries are answered in a professional and efficient manner + Actively monitor and identify opportunities for improvement across payroll policies, processes and knowledge management tools
+ Ensure that risks, issues or concerns are escalate to the Payroll Lead in a timely manner
+ Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and adjust processes accordingly

Required skills and Experience



+ 3+ years of experience in payroll administration or advisory role. + Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax law, and labor law.
+ Proven track record of owning regional payrolls & processes
+ Knowledge of Tax Year End procedures
+ The ability to develop a truly customer centric environment is important as well as experience in high quality operational HR and payroll processes that support our business.
+ Experience of working with an outsourced and in-house HR and payroll Service Delivery model is preferable
+ Proficiency with payroll software, SAP,
+ Expertise in MS Office (especially Excel, Access)
+ Proven ability to influence diverse senior stakeholders.
+ Fluent in written and verbal business English
+ Ability to cope within a fast paced, growing and changing environment.
+ Able to manage high volumes of work and prioritise effectively.
+ Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to quickly build relationships and credibility.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and act accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications:



Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification. Experience with multi-state or international payroll. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with HRIS system Knowledge of Continuous improvement methodology
