The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing and processing the payroll function efficiently and accurately for all employees in the garment manufacturing unit. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, wage standards, and internal policies while handling employee payroll-related queries.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and verify attendance, overtime, leave, and production data from the Time Office and HR teams
Process monthly payroll using internal systems (e.g., Tally, Excel, SAP, or other payroll software)
Maintain and update employee records including new joiners, resignations, transfers, and salary revisions
Ensure timely salary disbursement and distribution of pay slips
Handle statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT, and TDS deductions and filings
Coordinate with accounts and HR departments for payroll reconciliation
Resolve employee queries related to salary, deductions, and attendance
Prepare payroll reports for management and auditors
Support internal and external audits related to payroll and statutory records
Ensure confidentiality and data security of employee payroll information
Key Skills Required
Strong knowledge of payroll processing and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of labor laws relevant to the garment industry
