Payroll & Accounts Executive

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll accounting, statutory compliance related to payroll, daily accounting, and bank reconciliation tasks. The role also involves preparing monthly and yearly financial schedules and assisting in audits. A strong understanding of payroll accounting and compliance is essential.

What will you do?

Payroll Processing & Accounting

End-to-end processing of monthly payroll for employees.
Ensure accurate calculation of earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
Post and reconcile payroll-related entries in the accounting system.

Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely filing and payment of PF, ESI, TDS, PT, and other statutory dues.
Maintain compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with HR departments for any changes in statutory rules.

Banking & Reconciliation

Post daily bank payments and ensure timely and accurate accounting.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Month-End and Year-End Activities

Prepare and review month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare month-end and year-end financial schedules for payroll and related expenses.
Collaborate with the finance team for smooth monthly and annual closing.

Audit Support

Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for audit requirements.
Provide required documentation and clarifications during audits.

Employee Claims & Reimbursements

Process employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
Address employee queries related to claims and reimbursements.

What skills required?

Education:

bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

Experience:

3-6 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, statutory compliance, and accounting.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of Indian payroll rules and tax laws.
Hands-on experience in accounting software and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, etc.)

Soft Skills:

High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
