Key Responsibilities
Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical procedures (e.g., LASIK, Cataract), and expected outcomes to patients and families
Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions
Assist in coordinating between patients, doctors, and surgical teams
Counsel patients on treatment packages, insurance options, and financial queries
Follow up with patients who have dropped off after consultation or surgery recommendation
Maintain detailed records of interactions and update patient tracking systems
Support the hospital's mission of delivering patient-centric care with empathy and clarity
Requirements
Graduation in healthcare, life sciences, psychology, or related fields
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English and local language(s)
Ability to build trust and rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
Prior experience in eye hospitals or surgical counselling is a plus
Basic computer and record-keeping skills
