Patient education and counselling - Explain eye conditions (such as cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors, retina disorders, etc.) and treatment options to patients and their families.
Counsel patients regarding surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and possible complications in an empathetic and understandable manner.
Clarify doubts regarding surgery, recovery, and follow-up schedules.
Coordinate with doctors, optometrists, operation theatre, and nursing staff for surgery scheduling.
Ensure all pre-surgery investigations, consent forms, and patient instructions are completed.
Maintain accurate surgery registers and patient counselling records.
Explain surgery cost details, available packages, and insurance coverage options.
Support patients in completing insurance or reimbursement-related documentation.
Liaise with billing and finance teams to ensure transparency in payments.
Educate patients about pre-operative preparations and post-operative care instructions.
Follow up with patients after surgery to ensure adherence to medication and follow-up visits.
Handle patient feedback and concerns promptly and effectively.
Promote hospital services and build trust among patients and attendants.
