We are seeking a dedicated
Patient Counsellor with Ophthalmic Experience
to guide our patients through their eye care journey. The ideal candidate will be the crucial link between the doctor, the patient, and the hospital administration.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Counsel patients based on the diagnosis and reports provided by the ophthalmologist.
Explain eye surgery procedures (Cataract, LASIK, IPCL, ICL, Retina, etc.) and investigations (FFA, OCT, etc.) in simple, clear terms.
Coordinate daily with Consultants and the Centre Head regarding surgery advice and patient conversion.
Explain the detailed tariff of procedures, packages, and investigations to patients.
Maintain and update mandatory checklists for surgeries and procedures (Cataract, FFA, etc.).
Prepare and maintain daily counselling reports (Advice, Conversion, Patient-wise details).
Conduct tele-calling for follow-ups, appointments, and feedback; maintain calling reports.
Provide continuous follow-up and support to patients at all stages of their treatment.
Build patient trust by offering company, clear surgery knowledge, and empathetic counselling.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a
Patient Counsellor in an Ophthalmology/Hospital setting is mandatory.
Education:
Any Graduate. A degree/diploma in Psychology, Nursing, or Healthcare Management is a plus.
Languages:
Excellent command of Telugu, English and Hindi
Skills
:
In-depth knowledge of ophthalmic terms, surgeries, and diagnostics.
Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer operations.
Ability to handle documentation and maintain accurate records.
