Position Title:

PATIENT CO-ORDINATOR-IP

Conduct patient rounds and ensure proper nursing service, other supportive services and any specific complaints ae addressed.

Coordinate with admissions with regard to the availability of rooms.

Assist the nursing staff in giving the information of admission to consultants.

Coordinate with the corporate desk and billing department for clearance.

Give information to the diagnostics for necessary investigation of the patients, sending the patients for investigation and collecting reports.

Help the nursing staff in follow up of pending investigations.

Inform concerned support staff to resolve patient complaints.

Follow up referrals and doctors' visits.

Inform admission counter about all transfer in/out.

Coordinate with the concerned department for further procedures.

Coordinate with manager- IPD to solve the problems.

Responsibilities during discharge:



Inform patient about discharge and time taken for the same.

Issue and collect patient feedback form.

Get the discharge summary written, typed and signed one day- before the date of discharge.

Coordinate with the Billig department and cash counter.

Ensure clearance from credit dept. if required.

Issue discharge summary and get the receiver's signature.

Inform patient about any pending investigations.

Arrange for transportation if required.

Administrative:



1. Work in co-operation and co-ordination with nurses.

2. Participate in all training and self-development programs.

3. Performs other related duties as required by the HOD.

4. Daily Reporting about special incidence, patient feedbacks/satisfaction etc.

Measures



1. Reduce the discharge turn around time & room turnaround time.

2. Increase the bed turnover.

3. Feedback collection for improving services.

4. Compliance to quality systems & adherence to standard operating procedures.

Qualification & Experience



Any Degree 2-5 years of experience in patient relations or customer service, preferably in a hospital setting. Experience in handling patient & management coordination is essential.
