Job Summary



The

Patient Coordinator

plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive seamless, efficient, and high-quality care throughout their healthcare journey. This position involves coordinating patient appointments, maintaining accurate records, acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, and providing exceptional support and communication to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities Patient Coordination & Support



Greet and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, treatments, consultations, and follow-ups effectively. Act as a primary point of contact between patients, medical staff, and administrative teams. Answer patient inquiries and resolve concerns related to appointments, procedures, or services.

Records & Documentation



Collect, verify, and update patient information and medical records accurately. Maintain electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and other documentation as required. Ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy standards.

Communication & Liaison



Facilitate clear communication between patients and healthcare providers. Coordinate referrals to specialists and assist with inter-department communication. Educate patients on procedures, pre-/post-appointment care, and clinic policies.

Insurance & Billing Support



Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations if needed. Assist patients with understanding billing information and payment options.

Administrative Support



Manage phone calls, correspondence, and general office tasks. Assist with office coordination to ensure smooth patient flow and clinic operations.

Qualifications



Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (Healthcare/Administration diploma or degree preferred).

Experience:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting or patient-facing administrative role is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare software
