Prior experience in US medical billing or patient calling preferred.
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
Understanding of US healthcare terminology (EOBs, denials, deductibles, etc.).
Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and patiently.
Basic computer literacy and experience with EMR/EHR or billing software.
Willingness to work night shifts (aligned with US time zones).
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Make outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding medical bills and insurance information.
Explain patient statements, balances, and payment options clearly and empathetically.
Assist patients in understanding insurance benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and coverage.
Collect payments or set up payment plans in compliance with company policies.
Update patient records accurately in the billing system (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks).
Handle inbound calls from patients with billing inquiries or concerns.
Work closely with internal teams (AR, coding, insurance verification) to resolve patient concerns.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Meet daily/weekly call and collection targets.
