The Patient Caller will be responsible for communicating with patients regarding medical billing, insurance details, payments, and account-related queries in a professional and empathetic manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Make outbound calls to patients regarding billing statements, outstanding balances, and payment follow-ups.
Explain medical bills, charges, and payment options clearly to patients.
Verify patient demographic and insurance information as required.
Coordinate with the medical billing and accounts team to resolve billing discrepancies.
Respond to patient queries related to invoices, receipts, and payment status.
Maintain accurate call notes and update patient records in billing systems.
Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA guidelines, and data confidentiality standards.
Achieve daily/weekly call targets while maintaining quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Any graduate or equivalent qualification.
Basic knowledge of medical billing, healthcare terminology, and insurance processes.
Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
Ability to handle patient interactions with patience and professionalism.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with billing software or CRM systems.
Preferred Experience:
0-5 years of experience in medical billing, patient calling, or healthcare BPO.
Freshers with good communication skills may also be considered.
