Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Examine and analyze tissue samples, blood specimens, and other body fluids to detect abnormalities and diseases. Interpret laboratory findings and prepare detailed diagnostic reports. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss diagnoses and recommend treatment plans. Oversee and ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality control of laboratory tests and procedures. Maintain compliance with local regulatory and medical laboratory standards. Supervise laboratory staff and provide guidance on diagnostic techniques. Keep up to date with the latest research, diagnostic techniques, and pathology best practices. Ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation of specimens. Participate in case reviews, audits, and clinical meetings when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Education:

MBBS + MD / Diploma / Fellowship in Pathology from a recognized institution.

License/Certification:

Must be eligible for registration and licensing as a Pathologist in Tanzania.

Experience:

Minimum

5 years

of relevant experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting.
