Assist in the preparation and baking of pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, and desserts.
Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
Ensure all ingredients and equipment are prepared and ready for use ("mise en place").
Decorate and finish desserts with attention to taste and appearance.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and workstations.
Store ingredients properly and monitor stock levels; report shortages to the Pastry Chef.
Support the senior pastry team in developing new dessert ideas and seasonal menus.
Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Assist in receiving and checking deliveries for quality and quantity.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used, cleaned, and maintained.
