Glaze Bakehouse & Kitchen is seeking an experienced and disciplined Pastry Chef/Baker to oversee the production of all artisanal baked goods. You will be responsible for executing high-volume production while maintaining strict quality control and food safety standards. This role requires a professional with a strong technical foundation in pastry arts and commercial bakery operations.
Core Responsibilities
Production:
Execute daily preparation and baking of all menu items, including viennoiserie, artisanal breads, pastries, and desserts.
Standardization:
Adhere strictly to established recipes and techniques to ensure product consistency across all batches.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels of raw materials, perform weekly inventory counts, and coordinate with suppliers for ordering.
Operational Oversight:
Manage oven rotations and production schedules to ensure all products are ready for service by opening hours.
Sanitation:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with local health department regulations and internal HACCP standards.
Technical Requirements
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional baking experience in a commercial kitchen or high-volume bakery.
Educational Background:
Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts is preferred but not required with equivalent work experience.
Technical Proficiency:
Comprehensive knowledge of dough hydration, fermentation processes, lamination, and temperature control.

Punctuality:
Absolute reliability for early morning shifts.
Attention to Detail:
Precision in measurements (using metric/grams) and finishing.
Communication:
Clear, professional communication with front-of-house staff and management.
