Key Responsibilities
Prepare, bake, and present a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
Lead and supervise the pastry section, ensuring smooth daily operations
Design and develop new dessert concepts, seasonal offerings, and menu items
Maintain quality, consistency, and portion standards across all pastry products
Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations
Manage inventory, stock rotation, and cost control within the pastry department
Train, mentor, and support junior pastry staff
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
Requirements
10+ years of professional culinary experience
Minimum
1 year as a Pastry Chef
Strong expertise in pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation
Creativity and passion for developing new recipes and high-end desserts
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
High standards for cleanliness, detail, and food presentation
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
