CK Bakery is looking for a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of bakery products, including pastries, cakes, and desserts, while maintaining high standards of hygiene, consistency, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, puffs, cookies, and other bakery items according to standard recipes
Decorate cakes and desserts with icing, fondant, chocolate, etc., as per design requirements
Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all bakery products
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and equipment
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and coordinate with procurement for replenishment
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished goods as per food safety norms
Check for expiry dates and follow FIFO
Innovate and contribute to new product ideas or seasonal offerings
Work closely with store managers and kitchen assistants for timely order completion
Maintain production timelines and reduce wastage
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef/Baker in a commercial bakery or hotel
Skilled in cake baking, icing, and pastry preparation
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Team player with a positive attitude
Basic literacy in English or Tamil for recipe reading and communication
