We are looking for a creative and skilled Pastry Chef to lead the preparation and presentation of high-quality baked goods and desserts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage production in a fast-paced environment while ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation.
Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads, tarts, cookies, and other desserts.
Develop new pastry items, seasonal specials, and customized orders based on customer preferences and trends.
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all baked goods.
Quality & Hygiene
Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
Ensure all products meet food safety regulations (FSSAI/HACCP or relevant standards).
Follow proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures in the pastry kitchen.
Team Collaboration
Supervise and train junior pastry staff and bakery assistants.
Delegate tasks efficiently and monitor team performance during shifts.
Collaborate with chefs, catering managers, and event coordinators for special menus and events.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of ingredients and supplies.
Minimize wastage and ensure cost-effective production.
Maintain recipe documentation and portion control to manage costs.
Equipment & Maintenance
Operate and maintain pastry kitchen equipment (ovens, mixers, proofers, etc.).
Ensure workstations and tools are cleaned and maintained properly.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, or Hotel Management.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pastry production, preferably in a hotel, bakery, or catering setup.
Strong technical skills in baking and decorating.
Knowledge of both traditional and modern pastry techniques.
