Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce in various technical areas. This role requires a strong background in electrical work, rigging, and construction, along with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Duties

Design and implement training programs focused on rigging, electrical systems, and safety protocols. Conduct hands-on training sessions covering topics such as high voltage, low voltage, welding, and cabling techniques. Provide instruction on the safe operation of equipment including bucket trucks and climbing gear. Teach employees how to read blueprints and understand NEC standards for compliance. Facilitate field service training that includes utility locating and tree trimming operations. Evaluate trainee performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Collaborate with management to identify training needs and develop tailored programs accordingly. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices to ensure training content is relevant and effective.

Requirements

Proven experience in electrical work, including commercial and industrial electrician roles. Strong understanding of rigging techniques and safety measures associated with high voltage operations. Familiarity with construction site environments and the ability to navigate them safely. Proficient in using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting. Experience with IT infrastructure is a plus, enhancing the ability to train on related systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage trainees effectively. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments. A commitment to safety practices and promoting a culture of safety among trainees.
