We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a passion for innovative design. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement structural designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and create detailed structural designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.
Conduct project scheduling to ensure timely completion of design phases.
Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve design issues effectively.
Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in designs.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to facilitate the production of designed components.
Create schematics and technical documentation for design projects.
Apply ASME codes & standards in all design processes to maintain compliance.
Engage in system design, utilizing tools such as Simulink, LabVIEW, and Arduino for project development.
Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity under various conditions.
Participate in drafting activities to produce clear and comprehensive design layouts.
Skills
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and Creo, for mechanical design tasks.
Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on mechanical engineering principles.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and CNC machining processes.
Experience with quantum engineering concepts is a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to analyze complex systems using MATLAB for simulation purposes.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis scenarios.
