o Therapeutic Support: Provide individual and/or group counselling to survivors of acid attacks and gender-based violence.
o Trauma-Informed Care: Offer trauma-sensitive mental health support aligned with survivor needs and experiences.
o Assessment & Documentation: Maintain confidential psychological records, assess mental health needs, and document therapeutic progress.
o Collaboration: Work closely with the legal, advocacy, and programme teams to ensure integrated support for survivors.
o Capacity Building: Conduct occasional mental health awareness sessions for staff, survivors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
o Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Counselling Psychology (RCI-licensed preferred).
o Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with survivors of trauma, GBV, or in related mental health support roles.
o Knowledge of trauma-informed therapeutic practices and survivor-centred approaches.
o Excellent listening, empathy, and communication skills.
o Strong ethical commitment to confidentiality and psychosocial wellbeing.
o Familiarity with gender justice, human rights, and the challenges faced by acid attack survivors is preferred.
Work Commitment:
o 1-2 visits per week (1-2 hours), with occasional availability for emergency consultations if required.
