Manage and monitor spare parts inventory to ensure availability and minimize excess/obsolete stock.
Forecast demand and plan procurement in coordination with the service and sales teams.
Develop strong relationships with vendors and negotiate for competitive pricing and timely supply.
Supervise and guide the parts team, ensuring accurate billing, documentation, and stock records.
Implement and maintain effective stock control systems (FIFO, ERP usage, audits).
Track parts sales, prepare reports, and work towards monthly/quarterly sales targets.
Ensure excellent customer service by providing the right parts at the right time.
Maintain compliance with company policies, OEM guidelines, and safety standards.
Monitor market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities.
Train staff on product knowledge, inventory handling, and sales techniques.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of automobile spare parts (two-wheeler commercial, as per your industry).
Excellent inventory management and analytical skills.
Good communication, negotiation, and vendor management abilities.
Leadership skills to handle team and drive performance.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and stock management software.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate
3-7 years of experience in spare parts management
Prior experience in team handling and vendor negotiations preferred.
