Job Description

This is a technical specialist role with responsibility for influencing IBM Business Partner's technical strategy toward IBM's Technology. The specialists possess deep technical product portfolio skills and are assigned to work with IBM business partners based on revenue and growth potential. The specialist works to incorporate and embed IBM technology into partner's reference architectures, practices, and solutions; coordinates IBM technical expertise to identify, design, and implement client centric solutions through the partners and also carries the goal to increase the partner's technical capabilities for demonstrating and deploying IBM software with partner firms' sales and technical sellers

Your Role and Responsibilities
Earn trust and influence partner's tech agenda with a reputation of deep industry knowledge for assigned product portfolio; Facilitates pre-sales technical activities, e.g., joint proof of technology and demonstration between partners and IBM, solution co-creation, delivery of partner joint-learning activities to build technical skills and expertise of partners to enable co-sell motions, to drive post-sale technical adoption and deployment. Top KPIs: Revenue for assigned portfolio through aligned partners. Partner skill development on assigned portfolio, GTM execution along-with assigned partners.

What you’ll do:

  • Some of the key job responsibilities are:
  • Positioning IBM value through architecture discussions and workshops
  • Setting the technical strategy for sales opportunities
  • Leading requirements gathering and analysis
  • Develop technical solution and briefs using standard design methodology and tools.
  • Design client solutions employing cross functional IBM SW offerings
  • Preparing and presenting client-facing presentations and whiteboard discussions, organize Demos & POCs.
  • Developing ROI and economic models to justify investments in the proposed solutions stacks.
  • Working as an integral part of a sales team and coordinate with them to pursue sales cycles
  • Establishing trusted advisor relationships with decision makers
  • Preparing sales presentations with solution offerings, design, case studies and proof points.
  • Preparing SW account plan with sales team and develop IBM Point of view.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and technical architects to devise client solutions.
  • Determine technical risk and issues and suggest mitigation options.
  • Keep up to date on emerging industry trends & technologies.
  • Develop Technical solution design using industry standards methodology and tools for innovative solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/MCA In Computer Science
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT industry out of which 3-5 years of working experience as Technical Architect / SW technical specialist in the domain of Data, AI & Automation SW.
  • Should have experience in designing SW technical solutions.
  • Very strong communication skills (email, IM and verbal) and customer-ready presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and subject matters experts, making sure that information is clearly understood by all parties.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
