Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop design concepts for construction projects.
Interpret and create detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Utilize hand tools and equipment safely on construction sites.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and regulations.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for design improvements.
Work closely with commercial electricians to integrate electrical systems into designs.
Provide guidance on roofing designs, ensuring structural integrity and functionality.
Assist in the selection of materials and finishes that align with project specifications.
Maintain accurate documentation of design changes and project updates.
Qualifications
Proven experience in design within the construction industry is preferred.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
Knowledge of electrical systems as they relate to commercial projects is a plus.
Ability to plumb designs accurately for effective implementation.
Experience using hand tools and equipment relevant to the construction field.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
