Job Title: Part-Time Teacher (Ray Foundation Project)

Location: Vaiduwadi, Hadapsar, Pune

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM - 5:45 PM

Type: Part-Time | On-site | Contractual (10-month academic commitment)

Salary: Modest, as per NGO industry standards and experience

Our flagship initiative, the Ray Foundation Project, serves children from low-income backgrounds by providing quality education rooted in conceptual understanding, practical learning, and moral values.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and creative part-time teacher to join the Ray Foundation team. The teacher will be responsible for facilitating engaging lessons in English, Math, Science, and Moral Science for a diverse group of up to 20 students of varying ages and academic levels.

This role is ideal for educators who are committed to making a social impact through education, and who can bring energy, empathy, and innovation to the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver level-based lessons as per Moralkart's custom curriculum

Teach English, Math, Science, and Moral Science using interactive, student-centered methods

Adapt teaching to suit students across different age groups and learning levels

Promote conceptual understanding over rote learning

Encourage spoken English through daily classroom interaction

Integrate creative activities, storytelling, visual aids, and hands-on experiment

Monitor and assess student progress monthly, supporting their advancement to the next level

Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment

Celebrate festivals, special days, and contribute to extracurricular learning

Maintain regular communication with the Center Coordinator and participate in training/review meetings

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate in Education, Social Sciences, or any relevant field (B.Ed. preferred but not mandatory)

Prior teaching experience, preferably with children from underserved communities

Strong command over spoken and written English

Excellent classroom management and multi-level teaching skills

Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about child development

Ability to design creative lesson plans and integrate moral education

Commitment to a minimum of 10 months (one academic year)
