Duties

Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions across various subjects, including language and literacy education. Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style, goals, and proficiency level, incorporating effective curriculum development strategies. Utilize learning technology tools and digital resources to enhance lesson engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Manage classroom dynamics by maintaining a positive atmosphere, encouraging participation, and implementing classroom management techniques suitable for different age groups. Support early childhood education and preschool learners by designing age-appropriate activities that promote foundational skills in reading, writing, and numeracy. Assist students with special education needs by adapting teaching methods and providing targeted support to ensure inclusive learning environments. Track student progress regularly through assessments and feedback sessions, adjusting lesson plans as needed to maximize learning outcomes. Collaborate with parents, guardians, or school staff to communicate student progress and recommend strategies for continued development. Maintain organized records of tutoring sessions, lesson plans, and student achievements for ongoing evaluation and reporting purposes.

Experience

Proven experience working with children or students in educational settings such as classrooms, tutoring centers, or childcare environments. Strong background in classroom management, lesson planning, and literacy education across diverse age groups. Experience with curriculum development and integrating learning technology into instructional practices. Familiarity with early childhood education principles, preschool activities, and special education accommodations is highly desirable. Multilingual abilities in Mandarin, French, Japanese or other languages are a plus; fluency in English is essential. Demonstrated writing skills for creating clear instructional materials and engaging content tailored to different learner levels. Prior experience working with students with varying needs--including those requiring additional support--will be highly valued.
