Job Title: Part-Time Faculty - Data Science Responsibilities: 1. Course Instruction: - Develop and deliver lectures, labs, and other instructional materials related to data science topics. - Design and update course content to reflect industry trends and advancements in data science. - Foster a positive and interactive learning environment for students. 2. Curriculum Development: - Contribute to the development and improvement of the data science curriculum. - Stay informed about emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in the field of data science. 3. Student Engagement: - Provide guidance and support to students through office hours, email, and other communication channels. - Assess and grade student assignments, projects, and exams in a timely manner. 4. Collaboration: - Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to enhance the overall quality of the data science program. - Participate in department meetings and professional development activities. 5. Industry Networking: - Stay connected with industry professionals and organizations to bring real-world applications and examples into the classroom. - Facilitate opportunities for students to engage with industry through guest lectures, workshops, or internships. 6. Research and Scholarship: - Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations in the field of data science. Qualifications: 1. Education: - Minimum of a master\'s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is often preferred. 2. Industry Experience: - Substantial professional experience in the field of data science, with a strong understanding of industry best practices. 3. Teaching Experience: - Prior experience teaching data science courses at the university or college level is preferred. 4. Technical Skills:- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R. - Familiarity with relevant data science tools and platforms. 5. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students with varying levels of expertise. 6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different learning styles and employ various teaching methods to accommodate a diverse student body. 7.
